LiveQuartz v1.6.5 by Romain Piveteau

I’ve been reading about this application for awhile now, but just over the weekend, I decided to give it a try. I’m always looking for a way to quickly edit photos or images without going through the exhausting execution of Photoshop. Well for the time being LiveQuartz is my quick editor of choice. It has a pleasant interface and is useful right off the bat. Even for a beginner, it’s ease of use will surely be a homerun. I would compare this to the not so free ImageTricks by Belight Software. LiveQuartz is not only completely free, but it has all the options of ImageTricks, except for ImageTricks’ misleading greyed out ones that are available with a pro. purchase! Wow, now that’s a trick! It is also similar to MacPaint (painfully retired), with it’s great brushing and painting options. Give it a go, and if you like it, please don’t forget to donate. (link)

Resize 'Em All v1.0.6 by MacXeagle

Have you been wondering how you were going to resize all your wonderfully created or downloaded icons from 128px to 512px for Leopard? Well, here’s your answer. Resize ‘Em All by MacXeagle. Just drag, drop, and resize!! There are many other things in which this application can be used. If you are a designer or if you work with Adobe’s Photoshop at all, then you know exactly how much time it takes to load and begin to use. If I’ve forgotten to resize something while doing my Photoshop duties, I just hate to reload it, because it can seem like an eternity. With Resize ‘Em All, you can quickly resize large desktop wallpapers, even the oddly sized ones, like I’m always doomed to download, to whatever your desktop size might be. It will convert many common image formats from one to the other, whichever you might need at any specific moment. Please, watch the demo to see all of it’s great features. Best of all, it’s free!(Link)
