Dockulicious by Jonathan Crossman and Stefan Cirbus

While OS X themers wait patiently on the new “Leopard compatible” Shapeshifter release, many have turned to dock enhancements to liven up their Leopard GUI. At Dockulicious you will not only find a dock switching application, but also a user based gallery in which you can upload your own skins. The creators of Dockulicious have also provided all the files you need to edit your own images for the Leopard dock. (link) I’ve also been waiting, but not so patiently on the new theming apps. In my search for customization in Leopard, I’ve longed to see the clear dock once enabled by an all too missed Tiger haxie, and Clear Dock v1.1 by Obub (link) has brought it to us at Dockulicious. Download the free DockSwitcher.app and additional files to create your own, or grab a copy of Clear Dock… and make Leopard yours today!(link)

ShapeShifter 2.5

Well to no surprise, I received an email from Unsanity today, informing me of their updated version of ShapeShifter, now 2.5. I’m sure like me, most GUI moders out there, theme enthusiasts and all of the members of MacThemes2, are more than happy to welcome this long awaited, well overdue update. I thought surely that the developers at Unsanity were going to wait for Leopard’s grande entrance. The reason being after weeks of crawling though entirely too many lines of code, I had finally found my bug, just yesterday. One of their “haxies” has been the culprit for many of my Apple applications’ problems. And they themselves, admit to it’s now former incompatibilities. I’ve been experiencing problems since the iTunes 7.2 update, but it never crossed my mind that the problems would stem from none other than ShapeShifter, much less any other of the Unsanity’s great little haxies. Thanks guys, just one day too late. (link)
